The Old Web still exists, a bit

One thing about the Old Web that was nice was that sometimes you'd have a niche query and you'd search for it and you'd find some random fellow human being had written up a nice page on that exact topic. They hadn't covered the page with ads, they hadn't written a long story to introduce their three line recipe to game Google's algorithm, they'd just been interested in a thing, written it up, then published it for people they'd never even know of to learn from it, with no hope of personal gain. I'd sort of forgotten that this used to be a common occurrence, for so many of my search queries, even if I find a useful result, it'd on Stack Overflow which is festooned with ads and SEO and cross-selling and extremely dumb moderation and arguments to make Atwood and Spolsky rich.

Anyway, I was setting up a thing and needed CalDAV details for Fastmail, and found this. Just the useful info.
